I'm typically using the new year as a fresh start in many areas of my life, and blogging is a big area that I'm working on! I hope to blog much more and take more time and effort to visit, read and comment on other blogs too. Last year I met some wonderful and interesting people through blogging, and I hope to meet many more this year!
To help with this resolution, I have set myself a Goodreads book challenge for the year. Quite a laughable challenge now I think about it. On the one hand, I decided to read as many classics as possible, as well as books on my shelf that I've either not read yet or have been meaning to read again for some time and haven't got round to yet. Plus there's a few books coming out this year that I'm looking forward to reading. Then there's the small issue of the beautiful Kindle I received for Christmas.

So, you see why my initial Goodreads target of 52 is laughable. There's around 80 books there alone (including the complete works of Shakespeare and Jane Austen), never mind the many, many books I've just downloaded on my Kindle. Obviously I need a life this year too (speaking of which, have you checked out my Happiness Project blog?) so I won't be able to read all of them this year. I am going to up my Goodreads target to 70 though.
